the most perfect day I have ever seen

- -

my town
so dusty
so dry
buildings pushed over
lives heat together
young girls dreaming of beautiful deaths
pop star pictures above their beds
above their heads
troops

everything stolen
except my bones
now I am only bone
I waited for peace
and here is my peace
here in this still last moment of my life

ilmselt ma jõuan veel kunagi ümber mõelda, aga üldiselt võite seda lugu mu matustel mängida. mitte lähitulevikus, no worries. lihtsalt, see on täpselt selline lugu, et sobiks videotape'i kõrvale. käepikenduseks, mõttepikenduseks, hetkepikenduseks.

'brian eno said this was inspired by reading a certain newspaper, and seeing two articles:

an interview or something with a girl who was going to be a suicide bomber and had plans and stuff but then didn't go through with it, for whatever reason, and

an article where a doctor was talking about the effects of a terrorist blowing themselves up, and how it shattered their body, and the bones became like shrapnel, and when you looked at the bodies of people killed in the blasts, they have bone-shrapnel all in them and it was impossible to tell whether the bones belonged to them or someone else.' ei plaani just seda, but still.
